The drive is part of the adventure
Take the Coalfields Highway into the Wheatbelt and let the city go. It's a scenic country drive, and most people make a whole day of it. From 14,000ft you'll see that same farmland roll out in a patchwork all the way to the horizon.
A real dropzone, not a tourist counter
Hillman Farm has been home to skydiving since 1975, making it Australia's longest-running dropzone. When you arrive you don't feel like a tourist, you feel like part of the crew. Instructors, students and local skydivers all share the same airfield.
Sixty seconds you'll talk about for years
Jump from 14,000ft for around 60 seconds of freefall over the South West. Our inland airfield sees fewer weather holds than coastal dropzones, so you spend less time waiting around and more time in the sky.
Bring the whole crew
Friends and family are welcome to come and watch. There's plenty of open space to relax, and we'll show them the best spot to see you land. Then celebrate together at the historic Woolshed Café or the Darkan Hotel.

We're WA's only year-round skydiving school. Plenty of people who come for one tandem end up back here learning to fly solo, and there's camping, RV space and bunkhouses on site so you can wake up, jump and repeat.

What to expect when you get here
Allow a few hours
There's gear to fit, a safety briefing, aircraft timings and the weather to work with, so plan to stay a few hours rather than a quick in and out.
Bring your crew
Spectators are welcome, and there's plenty of room to relax while you wait. Read our guide for spectators.
Food and fuel
Darkan has a roadhouse, a supermarket and a hotel. Bring snacks for the day, then celebrate afterwards at the Woolshed Café or the Darkan Hotel.
Stay the night
There's camping and RV space at the airfield, plus bunkhouses. Course students get free bunkhouse accommodation.

How far is it from Perth?
About 2 hours by car. From Mandurah it's about 90 minutes, and from Rockingham about 100 minutes.
How far is it from Bunbury?
About 1 hour. It's the closest 14,000ft tandem dropzone to Bunbury.
What days do you jump?
Wednesday to Sunday, all year round. Our inland location means fewer weather holds than coastal dropzones.
Can my friends and family come and watch?
Yes. Spectators are welcome, there's plenty of room to relax, and we'll show them the best spot to watch you land.
