One highway, one big town and plenty of pretty country. As road trips go, it doesn't get much simpler.
Out along the Coalfields Highway
Head inland from Bunbury on the Coalfields Highway towards Collie. Google Maps puts the whole trip at about 135 km and 1 hour 30 minutes.
Top up in Collie
Collie is the last big town on the way, so it's the spot for fuel, snacks or a coffee. From there it's about 55 minutes (77 km) to us.
On through Darkan
Stay on the Coalfields Highway to Darkan. From town, the airfield is about 12 minutes out along Hillman Road. Search "The Skydive School" in Google Maps and it will take you right to us.
Keep some time up your sleeve
Country roads and roadworks can slow you down, so build in a buffer. Running late? Give us a call on 0415 486 422.
Drive times are from Google Maps in normal traffic. Check it on the day for roadworks. From Busselton, allow about 2 hours (179 km) the same way. Coming from the city? Here's the drive from Perth.
Your closest dropzone
You don't have to head north to skydive. Hillman Farm is the only dropzone south of Perth, and it's been running jumps since 1975, making it Australia's longest-running dropzone.
Close to home
If you live in Bunbury, Australind, Eaton or Dalyellup, this is your closest skydive: about an hour and a half from home, with no city traffic in sight. Just the Coalfields Highway, a coffee in Collie and a big day out.

There's no dropzone in Bunbury itself. The closest is The Skydive School at Hillman Farm Airport near Darkan, about 1 hour 30 minutes inland, and it's the only place to skydive south of Perth. Here's exactly where we are.

Can I do it as a day trip?
Easily. Allow a few hours at the airfield for your briefing, gearing up, the aircraft schedule and the weather, plus the drive each way.

Who can do a tandem?
No experience needed. You need to be 16 or older (with parental consent if you're under 18) and up to 100 kg. On the day of your skydive you'll sign waivers and become a member of the Australian Parachute Federation.
What days do you jump?
Wednesday to Sunday, all year round.
