These terms apply to every tandem skydive and learn-to-skydive (AFF) booking with The Skydive School at Hillman Farm Airport, Darkan WA 6392. By booking, you agree to them for yourself and for everyone in your booking. Last updated 21 October 2026.
Who can jump
- Tandem skydive: 16 or older. Maximum weight 100 kg.
- Learn to skydive (AFF): 16 or older. Maximum weight 95 kg.
- Under 18: a parent or legal guardian must come with you on the day to sign the consent and Australian Parachute Federation forms. Without them, the jump cannot go ahead and we will rebook you.
- Every jumper must be medically fit and able to lift their legs for landing.

Weight on the day
Everyone is weighed at check-in. If you are over the limit on the day we cannot take you up, for safety reasons. Your booking is moved to a date of your choice within 12 months at no fee, or held as a credit that you can transfer to anyone, valid 12 months. There is no surcharge for any weight under the limit.
Australian Parachute Federation membership
Every jumper becomes a member of the Australian Parachute Federation (APF) as part of their skydive. The short-term membership is included in the price.
Waivers
Every jumper signs a waiver on the day of their skydive.
Payment
- Tandem skydives and Tandem AFF (Stage 1) are paid in full when you book online.
- AFF courses take a $750 deposit when you book. The balance is paid on arrival, once the course starts.
- Your booking is confirmed by email once payment goes through.
- Finish Tandem AFF (Stage 1) and you get $400 off the Full AFF course when you continue.
Changing your date
- Tandem skydives: change your date free of charge with at least 7 days’ notice. Inside 7 days, call us and we will do our best, but we may not be able to refill the slot.
- AFF courses: move to any other course start date free of charge with at least 14 days’ notice. Inside 14 days, a $150 reschedule fee applies, because course seats are limited to 4 and a late change can leave a seat empty.
Cancelling
- Tandem skydives: with 7 or more days’ notice, we refund your payment minus a $50 admin fee. With less than 7 days’ notice, your payment is held as a credit for you or anyone you nominate, valid 12 months. With less than 48 hours’ notice, or if you do not turn up, the booking is forfeited.
- AFF course deposit: the $750 deposit is not refundable, but it is never lost if you talk to us. It can be transferred to another start date (free with 14 days’ notice, $150 inside 14 days) or held as a credit toward any future course, valid 12 months. If you do not turn up and do not let us know, the deposit is forfeited.
- Balance paid on arrival: not affected by the above. It is only paid once the course starts.
Weather
If it is unsafe to skydive, we stay on the ground. We will reschedule you to the next available date or refund you. We ring you a couple of days before your jump with the forecast and the best time to arrive. If it looks marginal on the day, call the duty instructor on 0415 486 422 before you leave home.
Course not finished in the 5 days
If weather or anything on our side stops you finishing your AFF course in the week, the remaining stages are completed on any day we operate, Wednesday to Sunday, at no extra cost.
No-shows
If you do not turn up and do not let us know, your booking is forfeited. If your plans change, please contact us as early as you can.
Gift cards
Gift cards are valid for 3 years from purchase and can be used toward any product or service we offer. They cannot be exchanged for cash. Bookings made with a gift card follow the same change and cancellation rules.
