We get people driving in from all over the state, and plenty flying in from overseas too. In fact, we’ve have students regularly traveling from Singapore, Hong Kong, and beyond to complete their AFF Course right here at The Skydive School.

Why? Because we’re the only place in WA where you can go straight to solo skydiving, with proper training, a structured program, and experienced instructors who actually care. You learn to pack a parachute and we teach you to be a skydiver, not just do a learn to skydive course.

Why Don’t You Need a Tandem First?

Tandems are awesome but at The Skydive School, we believe if you’re ready and wanting to learn, you can go straight into our solo skydive course (AFF Stage One) without needing to do a tandem first. The Australian Parachute Federation (APF) doesn’t mandate it and if your goal is to learn to skydive solo, why be forced into doing a tandem skydive?

We’ll train you to fly your body, deploy your parachute, and land it yourself — from day one. .

If you’re fit, ready to learn, and keen to give it a go, you can start our solo skydive course without ever doing a tandem.

Safety Comes First

Before you jump, you’ll spend a full day with us in Ground School, learning everything you need to know to skydive solo with confidence.

We’ll go through:
– Correct body position for exit and freefall
– Deployment procedures and emergency drills
– Altitude awareness
– The full sequence of Stage One AFF
– Canopy checks, flight patterns, and safe landing approaches

It’s a full-on day, but we keep it fun, hands-on, and super practical. We’ll make sure you’re 100% ready before you board the plane. you’ll be rehearsing the real thing with instructors who care.

When it’s time to jump, you’ll have two instructors flying beside you, and once your parachute opens, we’ll be on radio guiding you all the way back to the ground.

This course is for anyone who’s ready to learn to skydive solo. We run small groups so you get maximum attention and plenty of jump time. If you’re serious about getting your A Licence, or just want to push yourself and do something epic, this is for you.
