When is the best time of year to skydive?

Skydiving in Western Australia: A Season-by-Season Guide

Western Australia offers a world-class backdrop for aviation. Because skydiving is entirely weather dependent, we prioritise your safety above all else; we only take flight when the conditions meet our strict safety margins.

    Professional’s Choice

    Winter

The premium season for those serious about learning to fly. Technical, crisp, and rewarding.

    • Unrivaled Stability: Cooler air means smoother freefall and predictable landings.
    • Superior Visibility: Crisp air offers the highest level of clarity for miles.
    • Optimal Learning: No heat haze helps AFF students maintain 100% focus.
Note: thermal base layers recommended. “Weather days” can occur.
    The Favourite

    Spring & Autumn

The sweet spot of the calendar. A perfect harmony of comfort and consistency.

    • Ideal Comfort: No bite of winter or intensity of summer heat.
    • Consistent Windows: Long stretches of flyable days with moderate winds.
    • Breathtaking Landscapes: View WA as it transforms.
    High Energy

    Summer

Long days and vibrant energy. We utilise early starts to capture the best conditions.

    • Early Morning Excellence: We jump early for the smoothest possible flights.
    • Vibrant Culture: The best time for social “hangar life” and community.
    • Extended Hours: More daylight means more flexibility in our flight schedule.
